Startup & Talent – Selecting the right person

In my last post in this series I shared my thoughts on ‘Finding the right people’, which is also the first step of the recruitment process. I divided the whole recruitment process in three phases viz. finding, selecting, and retaining the talent.

As I mentioned in my previous posts in this series, the people who are right fit for startups are different then the general aspirants, and the requirements & scenario with startups are different then established & big companies i.e. Startups cannot afford to loose new recruits frequently, they can’t afford wrong decisions while hiring etc.

So the startups need to be far more efficient than big companies while hiring.

Now as in my previous post I discussed how to find the right people, I will move on to the second phase on this series – Selecting the right candidate’.

Before going on with the suggestions,  I would like to ask a simple question.
